DAY 1: CASABLANCA - RABAT - FES
Today our private Morocco tour starts visiting the Hassan II Mosque then we drive to Rabat where we make a visit to the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. After lunch we will depart to Meknes to explore Meknes. The guided tour will include Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries & the city rampart. We will depart to Volubilis (the Roman ruins) and Moulay Idriss (the holy town). We will continue to Fes where we stay for dinner and accommodation at a traditional riad.
DAY 2: FES PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR
The "Terra Nomadic Travels" Morocco guided trip continues with a guided tour of Fes. Fes is a city in northern Morocco that is frequently referred to be the cultural capital of the country. It is most renowned for its walled medina of Fes El Bali, which has medieval architecture and lively souks. This excursion will include a stop to a tannery and a pottery cooperative to view authentic Moroccan handicrafts. Overnight stay in a local hotel with dinner included.
DAY 3: FES - IFRANE - MIDELT - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA
Guided tour from Casablanca to Fes and Sahara desert continues. We drive from Fes to Midelt and Merzouga desert. We visit Ifrane, a famous winter ski resort. Then we visit the cedars forest in Azrou where we may watch the monkeys. We continue Morocco tour driving across the Middle Atlas mountains passing Erfoud,famous for fossil products and then to Rissani. We reach Merzouga desert in the afternoon. We stay in Merzouga desert in comfortable hotel with dinner.
DAY 4: TOUR AROUND MERZOUGA
We investigate Merzouga desert extensively. We will also visit Khamlia hamlet, renowned for its music and inhabited by Gnawa people originally from Sudan and Mali. In the evening, we will prepare for a camel ride to the Merzouga desert camp, where we will spend the night in desert tents. We drink mint tea with Nomads in the Sahara desert. Before the sunset, we will climb high dunes in the Moroccan desert to observe the spectacular sunset. At camp, we have a typical Moroccan meal as desert guides perform music.
DAY 5: DESERT CAMEL RIDE - TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEY
We will continue our tour from Casablanca to Merzouga, where we will see the Sahara desert dawn. Then we ride camels back to the hamlet, and our private Morocco trip continues after breakfast to Rissani, then to the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco, Tinghir and Todra. It is a popular climbing location. After lunch in the gorge, we visit the Dades valley, where we admire the "monkey toes" rock formations. We spend the night in the Dades valley and have supper and breakfast there.
DAY 6: DADES GORGES - KELAA MAGONA - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH
The Morocco guided vacation continues to the Valley of Roses in Kalaat Mgouna and we discover the "Hollywood of Africa" city of Ouarzazate. The biggest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou is home to a local film studio and a UNESCO World Heritage Site kasbah. Over the High Atlas mountains, we go to Marrakech. We stay at a local riad or hotel in Marrakech.
DAY 7: GUIDED TOUR IN MARRAKECH
Today, we will go on a guided trip to see the many sides of Marrakech. A historic imperial city in western Morocco, Marrakech is a significant commercial hub with mosques, palaces, and gardens. Spend the night in Marrakech.
DAY 8: MARRAKECH - OURIKA VALLEY - MARRAKECH
1 day tour to Ourika valley. We go on a guided tour of local waterfalls from Marrakech.
DAY 9: MARRAKECH - CASABLANCA
