EXCURSION FROM MARRAKECH TO OUZOUD WATERFALLS
The Ouzoude Waterfalls are located in the Atlas Mountains around 190 kilometers from Marrakech, Morocco. The Ouzoude water flows freely from more than 100 meters above sea level, and the waterfalls are surrounded by lush green flora. Around the region, you can see antique Berber grain mills, some of which are still operational, as well as families of Macaco monkeys playing and eating in the trees. The flow of water on the rocks creates a fog, which gives birth to an almost perpetual rainbow.
Because of the spray of water dropping over the rocks, the Ouzoud waterfalls are sometimes crowned by a rainbow. We meet up with the Oued el Abid canyon 2 kilometers below. A route flowing through olive trees will take you to the base of the waterfall, where you may see wild monkeys. We will return to Marrakech later today.
