EXCURSION FROM MARRAKECH TO AIT BENHADDOU
at 8.30 a.m., we will depart from your accommodation and go to Ait Benhaddou. We make our way through the High Atlas Mountains (the highest road pass 2260 m above sea level). From here, we will go to the Telouet region (visiting Kasbah Telouet). This stronghold may still be seen, but it is gradually deteriorating and falling. We will then continue our day trips in the Ounila valley, with its various little communities constructed on the banks, until we reach Ait Benhaddou. The town was created in the 11th century and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. It is a well-known location for filmmaking. After lunch in Ait Benhaddou, we will go with a local guide to visit the Ait Benhaddou ksar. Later that afternoon, we travel to Marrakech through the Tichka Atlas crossing.
